This Golf club handle end cover is a U-shaped closed structure with circular arc and hand feel. There are 3 overhanging bone positions inside, which become the difficulty of mold design. This kind of plastic parts in determining the mold structure, we must consider the ejection and ejection balance of plastic parts. Similar mold problems include skewed ejection, sticking inclined top and pulling deformation.
Plastic parts belong to small plastic parts, and the production batch is huge, the mold is suitable for the design of multi-cavity mold. Due to the structural characteristics of the plastic parts, the possible cavity placement of the mold design is 1*2, 1*4 or 1*8,which means that the even cavity is convenient for the ejection balance and the balanced design of the flow channel system. Therefore, this set of molds finally selected 1*4, the mold design diagram is shown in below picture. When the mold design cavity placement, in addition to the number of cavity, the cavity layout orientation is also very critical. There are four directions of the mold, namely, the sky side, the ground side, the operating side and the non-operating side. Combined with the previous analysis of plastic parts, the two cross bone positions at the big end of plastic parts should be cored by sliding blocks, and the height of sliding blocks directly contact the top surface of plastic parts, as shown in Figure 4. Do not lower the height of the slide block, because after the slide block off, the two cross bone position is easy to touch the back mold.
2. Mold Cavity Arrangement:
In mold layout, it is usually necessary to arrange the slider on the outside, as shown in below, so as to facilitate compact layout. On the other hand, the slider needs to be lined up on the operator and non-operator sides, that is, the slider moves in a horizontal direction as it works. The bone position of the small end of the plastic part was released with inclined top. Because the inclined top is small, the two adjacent inclined tops are very close to each other. In order to save space, the two inclined tops are designed on the same inclined top seat, and the height of the inclined top seat is increased. Because the inclined top is small, a single guide chute is designed. The small inclined top single guide chute can be hung by 1.5mm, there is no need to design both sides of the guide chute, so as not to affect its strength.
3. Gate system and Water Channel System:
Plastic parts belong to appearance parts, the design of gate is very key. Through the analysis of plastic parts, the position of the gate can only be designed at the top edge of the big end of the plastic parts. The gate is a side gate, which is cut off after injection. The large end of the plastic parts need to design the slider, so the gate needs to be designed on the slider, the slider core moving, must not interfere with the gating system condensate, so the diverter is designed on the front mold, forming a complete loop. In order to ensure the accurate closing of the front and rear die, the four corners of the front and rear die are designed respectively. Select the parting surface of the front and rear die, as far as possible to make the shunt smooth, easy to melt plastic flow.
